Summit Hotel Properties, Inc. (NYSE: INN), a real estate investment
trust (REIT) specializing in the ownership of premium-branded hotels in
the upscale and upper midscale segments, today announced that its Board
of Directors declared a cash dividend of $0.1125 per common share and
per common unit of limited partnership in Summit Hotel OP, LP for the
second quarter ending June 30, 2011. The dividend reflects Summit’s
first full quarter as a real estate investment trust (REIT) since its
initial public offering in February 2011.
The dividend is payable August 31, 2011 to holders of record as of
August 22, 2011. This represents an annualized dividend rate of $0.45
per share and unit. The company will continue to review its dividend
policy on a quarterly basis.
